Meet Stelato S9. It is the first car that the brand endorsed by Huawei has rolls out. The upcoming flagship model was unveiled at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, and it looks spectacular. The model should drop as a rival for BMW's i7 and Mercedes' EQS electric sedans.
Stelato is the result of a partnership between the tech giant Huawei and a subsidiary of BAIC Auto, BAIC BluePark and has now unveiled its first car. Stelato's first-ver model looks ready to take on the BMW i7 and the Mercedes EQS electric sedans.

It measures 203.1 inches (5,160 millimeters) in length, 78.2 inches (1,987 millimeters) in width, and 58.5 inches (1,486 millimeters) in height, sporting a wheelbase of 120 inches (3,050 millimeters).

Meanwhile, the EQS is 201.8 inches (5,216 millimeters) long, 75.8 inches (1,926 millimeters) wide, and 59.5 inches (1,512 millimeters) tall, coming with a wheelbase of 126.3 inches (3,210 millimeters).

The silhouette of the Stelato S9 is obviously inspired by that of the Luxeed S7, the model made jointly by Huawei and Chery and distributed through Huawei's store network. It sports cameras instead of conventional side mirrors and hidden door handles, both coming in the name of aerodynamics.

The S9 is expected to feature the Huawei's xPixel headlight system, LiDAR sensors, and a large central control screen running the Harmony OS 4. A dual 50 W wireless charging pad and leather covering the seats, dashboard and door cards are on the menu, depending on the trim selected by the customer.

It rides on 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, and customers will be able to choose it either in black, white, red, or gold.

Stelato will offer the S9 in two variants

The Stelato S9 will be available with two different powertrains. The single-motor version will receive 304 horsepower and will be positioned as the entry-level S9 with a rear-wheel drive setup.

The car with the dual-motor layout will be powered by the 304-horsepower (309-metric horsepower) motor working alongside one that is mounted on the front axle and brings along 212 horsepower (215 horsepower).

Lithium-ion ternary and lithium-ion ternary+ lithium iron manganese phosphate batteries, all supplied by CATL, will store the energy, but there is no information about the range just yet.

As reported by CarNewsChina, customers will be able to order Stelato's first car starting this mid-summer, with prices ranging from 300,000 to 500,000 yuan ($41,400 to $69,000), which is way under what Mercedes-Benz asks for the EQS or BMW for its i7.

The EQS starts at 845,000 yuan ($116,605) on the Chinese market. Meanwhile, the i7 sedan is available as a long-wheelbase xDrive60L, kicking off at 1,46 million yuan ($201,471).

On the Chinese market, it will give a run for their money to models such as the Nio ET7 or the Changan Avtr 12.
