The German Beast Mustang

There are not many non-American tuners who take it upon themselves to modify an American-born Ford Mustang, and those who do have a very hard time living up to the tuned Mustang image created by the likes of, say, Roush.

Still, somebody in Germany apparently did a great job at tuning a Mustang. So good in fact, they even caught the eye of the aforementioned Roush. Or maybe it's because the Mustang uses several Roush-sourced components...

Called The Beast, the German Mustang was modified using a full Roush Stage 3 powertrain assembly kit, with short block upgrade. Although no official details on The Beast were released, this package pushes the output of a regular Mustang to in between 800 and 900 hp.

The Stage 3 builds on the Ford 4.6l engine and adds orged aluminum pistons with an increased dish, forged steel H-Beam connecting rods and a
forged steel crankshaft. It comes with Roush built resonator exhaust, four-piston front brakes with 14-inch rotors, painted rear calipers and new upper billet grille.

For the body, Jorg Niederwieser, the man behind the project, used the 2010 Roush body kit. Aside from the kit, the tuner decided to go for lambo doors and a not-so-Mustangish color seen on the Beast. The interior of the Mustang has also received major modifications.

“Phenomenal, massive, enormous, (and) thunderous. I can’t find a real fitting word, it’s unbelievable,” says Niederwieser about what he managed to turn the Mustang in.
