The short-lived sixth-generation Cadillac came to be in 1959 and remained in production for just two years, with the parent company launching a completely new series in 1961, this time with major styling and engineering upgrades.
The sixth generation was available as two-door hardtops and convertibles and four-door hardtops with either four or six windows.

Customers could order the car with just one engine – the 390 V8 paired with a 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.

A 1960 Cadillac Series 62 made its way to eBay earlier this week, trying to convince a brave heart to take it home and give it a complete restoration.

The photos might look frightening at first, but seller dickskars promises there's plenty of good stuff to discover on this Cadillac. The vehicle has been sitting under the clear sky for several years, so you must expect typical metal problems, including rusty floors and a trunk pan.

The vehicle also comes with broken windows, which is quite a shame, considering the Series 62 was specifically focused on glass for a more exquisite look. The tires are flat, and the body looks horrible too.

Everything sounds frightening, but the seller claims the vehicle comes with a good steering wheel, several chrome parts, and other components that could help during a restoration process. Unfortunately, the next owner won't be able to use the engine to bring the car back to the road, as the 390 is already seized from sitting. The bad news under the hood isn't surprising, especially as the Cadillac has been sleeping under the clear sky for many years.

All signs seem to suggest that saving this Cadillac Series 62 is going to be an impossible mission, even for professional restorers. The vehicle comes in a very rough condition in almost every department, so unless you're a big Cadillac fan, finding a reason to give this car a second chance might be really challenging.

Considering the bad shape of the Cadillac, I believe the better option is to get it as a donor for another project, especially because the seller promises many good parts. You'll still have to inspect it in person to determine how much of this Cadillac can still be used on another project, but overall, it looks like the right path, given all the bad news.

Unsurprisingly, the owner doesn't expect to make good money out of this Cadillac. They listed the car on eBay with a $2,500 price tag, and they also enabled the Make Offer button, so if you're interested in a deal, you should contact them to discuss additional details. You can find the Cadillac parked in Ohio, and you can bet it won't move too soon, given its horrible shape and the non-working engine.
