The final, production version Tesla Model S is set to be unveiled by the end of the year, with the car expected to come to the market in summer next year.

Initially, we'll get three versions, which will offer different ranges, having three battery capacities. However, there will also be a fourth go-fast focused model, as Motor Authority reports.

The meanest incarnation of the Model S is set to (partially) rival big names in the performance saloons world, such as BMW M or Mercedes AMG. How come? Well, the vehicle will use a current increase from the current 900 A to 1,200 A, which, on the road, should be translated into a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) time of under 4.5 seconds.

And we're not just talking about going fast in a straight line - Tesla will gift the car with adaptive suspension, which will allow the driver to setup the car the way he likes
In addition to that, Tesla will enhance the aerodynamics, which will allow the car to offer a heftier range, which could reach 320 miles (515 km) per charge.
