Not only cars are transforming into Playstations on wheels now, but in the near future, you also won’t need to operate them according to new study. In fact they won’t even have steering wheels and pedals anymore. Should we grab torches and forks?
A recent study from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) says that by 2023, most cars will loose common parts like the horns, rearview mirrors, steering wheels and pedals due to the driverless craze going on now.

"We've seen incredible growth in the driverless vehicle industry over the past few years, both in technological advancement and manufacturer acceptance, that has dramatically affected the consumer adoption timetable," stated IEEE Fellow Alberto Broggi, professor of computer engineering at the University of Parma in Italy and founder of VisLab.

"The scientific community and car manufacturers have been working together to incrementally include autonomous features in modern-day cars, with the intention of producing driverless vehicles in the near future. For mass adoption, it's important that we begin trusting this technology,” he further explained.

More than 75 percent of respondents indicated that all 50 US states would allow for the use of driverless vehicles in this period. So basically, we’ll end up having to travel in some sort of dashboard-less shuttles fitted with a bucket of sensors to navigate their way on predefined routes and communicate with each other.

Why the hell would we need these anyway? Where’s the improvement when you’re basically going to provide customers small rail wagons to hop in, enter the destination on a screen and just wait. Why aren’t you improving the mass transportation for these elevator-ride-loving slobs that can’t use a steering wheel and two pedals?

Good job industry; let’s just all transform into electric-chair-riding balls of fat that can’t do anything without looking into a monitor and touching some icons. It really tells a lot about how much we’re involuting.
