Strippermobile, the Naked Christmas Spirit

Last year, one nasty way to celebrate Christmas roamed the streets of Las Vegas. It was called the Strippermobile, a display on wheels of naked girls enjoying and entertaining an unsuspecting live audience.

At the time, the gimmick pulled by a company which operates several Las Vegas strip clubs caused quite an agitation, ending abruptly at the request of the city representatives and because of the voices raised against the campaign. In 2010, the Strippermobile is back, but this time with dressed girls.

The company which organized the show last year wanted to make amends and this time properly dressed the girls in Santa's helpers. As if that wasn't enough, this year's ride, which took place on Friday, was about donating, and not entertaining.

A convoy of cars, including the Strippermobile, helped donate $19,000 in bikes and toys to HELP of Southern Nevada, a nonprofit organization assisting the poor. This time, as it appears, the city was pleased with the Santa and his eight properly dressed females donating for charity.

"As far as I'm concerned, we are an adult playground and we're going to be an adult wonderland,"
Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman was quoted as saying by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

This, it would appear, was the last appearance of the Strippermobile. Considered a traffic hazard (for obvious reasons) by Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak, the vehicle will be side tracked forever, as the company running it promised the Commissioner.

Gary Nemeth, general manager of the little Darlings gentleman's club, believes the Strippermobile is only the beginning of something bigger.

"We want to challenge the other strip clubs,"
Nemeth told AP. "We're a small club. Think what those megaclubs can do."
