The guys from M5Board.com really know how to have fun. One of their latest videos shows a real David versus Goliath fight, with a BMW 135i going against a Mercedes Benz C63 AMG.
The little coupe, with its 3-liter turbocharged engine that develops 300 HP and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, had to face a much bigger opponent. Not only does the Mercedes have an engine that's twice as big, but the one in this video is also the Estate version.
With 480 HP and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, the V8 powered beast had the edge. However, the 135i had something special under its bonnet: a Stertmann tune. We don't know exactly how much power the 1er had but the Scandinavian tuners say they can take the N54 engine up to 400 HP.
On the first stage of the race, the BMW held its own very good. Good shifts and less weight made a serious difference until about 200km/h (125 mph) but after that, the bigger engine and torque levels pushed the Merc in front. Good race though, and a honorable finish for the little Bimmer.
