We still fantasize about the Jaguar F-Type Startech presented in March at the Geneva Motor Show, but their latest creation can make you fall in love just as fast, especially if the Land Rover Defender is one of your favorite cars ever.
And how could it not be, since the British box of steel has been a symbol of manliness for 68 years?

The car you're about to see in the photo gallery was baptised Startech Sixty8 and as we're sure you figured out by now, it comes to pay its respects to an almost seventy years career behind the Defender.

Although we expected more grunt from under the hood, the Startech Sixty8 Defender was fitted with 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine rated at 122 horsepower and 360Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque, so nothing extravagant to see here.

The unit is managed via a six-speed manual gearbox, but there's also an off-road suite including reduction gear and permanent all-wheel drive with inter-axle differential lock.

Appearance is what Startech boosted the most for this creation, which you've already witnessed by now in the picture above.

Corris Grey Metallic paint covers every inch of that boxy outer shell while the overall vintage look was secured courtesy of the roof painted in Santorini Black and a Startech Series 3.1 exterior kit. Startech Monostar D 18-inch alloy rims complete the outfit, along with a couple of Sixty8 logos scattered around the Defender's body.

Inside, we are greeted by a Tan Light Brown and Eboy Black leather cabin updated with sports seats, Alcantara trim, a sports steering wheel and aluminum-dressed shift knob, emergency brake lever and pedals.

Only 68 units will be built and delivered around the globe, with a starting price tag (in Germany) of €67,990 ($75,270 at current exchange rates) for the five-seat model and €69,900 ($77,380 at current exchange rates) for the seven-seater version.
