The pixels on our screens still haven’t managed to erase the 2013 SRT Viper from their memory and it seem that Chrysler wants to make sure that they never will. Thus, the company has released a video that shows the vehicle’s racing version during its first test on the track.
We are talking about the SRT Viper GTS-R, which has been recently been put through its paces on the Carolina Motorsports Park track. The car is set to make its racing debut in the ALMS later this year, but the testing phase isn’t over yet. According to the SRT Motorsports people who were testing the car, it’s doing a great job at eating tarmac.
"To basically build that car, start it up the first time like the day before and have it run around the whole day and do everything it was supposed to do was a huge achievement," said Gary Johnson, SRT Motorsports road racing manager.
