Mercedes has not shied away from talking about their intentions. The A-Class AMG model has the lightweight boxing belt on its mind, and it’s now training itself up to become a true rival for the Audi RS3 Sportback.
Unfortunately for them, BMW also knows that all-wheel drive is the preferred option for sportscar enthusiasts that don’t want to push the envelope, and is going to offer the M135i with xDrive.

So the A-Class AMG is training hard to become the best sportscar it can be and is undergoing testing on a wet track.

Power what will likely be named the A25 AMG comes from a 2.0-liter petrol engine tuned with F1 technology to develop somewhere between 320 and 350 hp. The standard gearbox will be a dual-clutch unit with seven speeds.
