The new generation of the BMW 1-Series is already out on the market, being test driven and fighting to attract customers, but BMW has only launched the five-door model so far, with the three-door one still being kept covered.
However, our team of spy photographers have recently encountered a prototype of the latter during a cold weather testing session. As you can see in the adjacent images, the German automotive producer wants to give the three-door a distinct identity, with the company introducing visible changes to the profile of the car.
The B pillar comes at a different angle, while at the rear window we can see serious camouflage that conceals the new lines. The vehicle will borrow the engine range from the five-door version of the 1-Series, which means that there’s no surprise here. The three-door 1er could arrive at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
