The term tuning is so liberally used these days, as it encompasses everything from remaping one’s engine, to fitting an aftermarket exhaust. This little hatchback, however, is China’s equivalent of the Renault Clio V6, as it has become mid-engined and rear-wheel driven.
The original car is a Tianjin-Xiali TJ700, a car which originally housed an 800cc three-pot unit with 60 hp. Now, however, the engine from under the bonnet has been removed completely. The car now gets a Nissan-sourced V6 engine, which displaces 3.5-liters and puts out around 300 hp, thanks to a turbocharging kit, complete with intercooler. However, to make the title of this article actually true, it also gets a nitrous kit which doubles the power figure for short bursts.

Thankfully, the owner has fitted a a complete roll-cage, to offset the car’s very poor factory safety rating. Also, in the interest of losing some weight (probably) and cooling the interior, the owner has drilled a few holes in the doors. It also gets some new, larger rims, which kind of stick out at the rear (probably due to the use of a wider axle) - this may be a give-away for the police, as we are pretty sure this is not road-legal, despite having what appear to be valid number plates.
