Mercedes has just announced the recently revealed S65 AMG and a special edition model will be revealed simultaneously at the Tokyo Motor Show and Lost Angeles Auto Show, both taking place from 20 November to 1 December.
Since we already know everything about the S65 AMG, that special edition model is the real story here. Called the SLS AMG GT Final Edition, It's the swan song of one of the most beautiful cars we've seen in decades, as Mercedes is getting ready to introduce a new AMG-made sportscar.

Mercedes calls it the last chance to get an SLS, but of course the rest of the SLS models will probably still be available a short while. With 350 Final Edition units being made, the Germans have made the GT coupe and roadster model ever so slightly more aggressive. Things like a small carbon fiver lip, blacked headlight housing and a new hood have all been added.

Next-to-no details have been offered, so we'll have to wait until next week to hear the swan song of the Mercedes SLS.

Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH says: "The two new AMG high-performance vehicles represent the spectacular next level for our exciting model array. The S 65 AMG stands for maximum exclusiveness and the unparalleled dynamism of a V12. With the SLS AMG GT FINAL EDITION we are showing an ultimate, particularly attractive variant of our super sports car."

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
