Sin City Gets Ready for Monster BikeFest

Less than two weeks are left until the tenth annual BikeFest kicks off in Las Vegas and the residents, businesses and bikers alike have already begun to prepare for one of the biggest motorcycle gatherings of the year.

According to the organizers, about 30,000 bikes are expected to be on site on September 30, when the event kicks off. For four days, the roar of the motorcycle engines will be heard in Las Vegas, in both organized and ad hoc events and competitions.

This year's BikeFest will feature several exciting events, including a build-off competition, a custom bike show, music concerts, a Vendor Village with 250 booths filled with motorcycles, parts, accessories, apparel, and one-of-a-kind bike exhibitions.

"Las Vegas BikeFest's tenth anniversary will be a celebration of the culture and lifestyle surrounding motorcycling," said Harry Schwartz, president of Full Throttle Events, one of the organizers.

"The rally will offer exciting contests and competitions that have become annual traditions and our biggest crowd-pleasers, but also includes new special events including a high-energy poolside anniversary party and a cake-cutting ceremony during Thursday's welcome party that features Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman as our special guest."

BikeFest will be the venue some of the icons of the biker world will not miss. Gard Hollinger, Jim Nasi and Todd Silicato are just the icing on the cake.

The bearded men on Harleys and not only will be distracted from their daily activities by Miss Las Vegas BikeFest Competitions, bikini contests and, of course, a wet t-shirt contest.
