It's true, the S85 5-liter V10 engine used on the previous M6 is gone and in its place, the Bavarians decided to use the turbocharged 4.4-liter V8, dubbed internally S63Tu. While it does develop more power and torque (560 HP and 680 Nm torque), this new unit doesn't sound at all as mean as it should.
Sure, BMW already said that the new model was designed as more of a GT than a high-performance, coupe but some customers still want a visceral experience out of it. Since you can't make the car extremely lighter without taking apart half of it, you can go for a custom exhaust like the one from Innotech Performance Exhaust or IPE for short.
