With carbon fiber being one of the landmarks in vehicle customization during the last years, we get to see quite a lot of cars and motorcycles, even trucks, proudly displaying various carbon parts.
We have to admit that carbon fiber elements look really awesome when used in a smart way, but not all the custom jobs out there can brag on great looks.
UK-bases workshop Made In Metal have customized an SD-04 Ducati 990SS, after getting rid of all the existing bodywork. The new Ducati 990SS is now a bike with a completely different air about it. While some might dislike the massive amount of carbon fiber, we'd rather say it looks very neat.
Made In Metal have actually rebuilt all the needed body panels entirely according to their ideas and simply to give the SD-04 the new look they were after. The rear cowl serving as rear fender looks like nothing we've seen lately and adds an unusual yet extremely sexy line to the back of the beast.
And since carbon fiber is both string and lightweight, the MiM SD-04 Ducati 990SS weighs now one third less. Compared to the initial 188 kg, it looks like the guy riding it is going to have an awesome lot of fun.
The bike is on ebay, MiM asking GBP7,995 ($12,776 or €9,978), We couldn't tell tell about your chances for some haggling, but Made In Metal promises they'll turn this track-ready beast into a street-legal one for free.
