The holiday season is almost upon us, with Christmas trees everywhere getting ready to be drenched in decorations.
Santa Claus' reindeers are probably going to find another job this year though, as Saint Nick's new ride for delivering presents this season will have no use for them any longer.

Ladies, gentlemen and children everywhere, meet Santa Claus' new wheels: a brand-spanking new Mercedes-Benz G 65 AMG.

With a snow-white exterior and a fire-red leather interior, St. Nick's new “whip” has no less than 612 horses instead of the original eight reindeers, while the torque figures rise to an electronically-limited 1000 Nm (738 lb ft).

We have no official specifications for the reindeer sleigh, but we're guessing that the G 65 AMG acceleration from naught to 100 km/h (mph) is done in a faster time, at just 5.3 seconds.

With 480 to 2250 liters (17 to 79.5 cubic feet) of storage space in the rear, there are quite a lot of presents to fit in there, while the all-wheel drive 4Matic system with three electronically-lockable differentials will make sure that Santa doesn't get stuck in the snow.
