Saddam Hussein's Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible on Ebay

The ghost of famous dictator still haunts the world today. And we are not talking about his tyrannical regime or about his horrible crimes here, but about his Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible which is available for purchase on Ebay.

Steven Brown, owner of the car dealership Autocontinental, told reporters (via The Telegraph) that the car was bought at an Iraqi government auction by an Iraqi friend whose residence is in the UK, together with eleven other cars from Saddam’s collection, including “one Maybach new with solid 24 carat gold fittings specially made for him but not delivered… car was only ready for him two days before he left Baghdad in a hurry”.

The car has only 900 miles on board but its price is rather spicy, probably to fit Saddam's profile of a wealthy man. The seller claims £150,000 for the vehicle, an amount that is said to go to the tyrant's Kurdish victims. Therefore, if you are a car collector and happen to plan to purchase the controversial dictator's Roll Royce, you will not only benefit from the exclusive privilege of having a vehicle that is constantly reminding of the odious history, but you will also have the honor to make a charity deed.

Regarding the safety of the two-door vehicle, you should know that former Iraqi president's Rolls Royce has automatic transmission, alarm, ABS, driver airbag, side airbags, passenger airbag, electronic stability program, immobilizer, rear seat belt pretensioners, Xenon headlights. Moreover, the purple vehicle seems pretty comfortable: leather seats electrically-heated, air conditioning, auxiliary heating, climate and cruise control, parking sensors, power-assisted steering, power locks, seats and windows, sunroof and tilt steering wheel. The model is available in left-hand drive and possesses AM/FM Stereo, Cassette Player, CD Multichanger, Navigation System, Premium Sound System.

"We deal in Rolls Royces so I thought it might be an opportunity to put us on the map," Steven Brown said. The future owner would have the car shipped over from Baghdad within 28 days.
