Saab 9-3X Available in the US

Although the Spyker - Saab deal is yet to receive the final signature, dealers in the United States have started receiving orders for the 9-3X, a report by saabhistory.com informs. Curiously, there are no pricing details available at this point, as the American dealers are only receiving 9-3X orders "just in case..."

To be more specific, the 9-3X orders would be honored only if the Spyker - Saab deal gets completed. The deadline for this to happen is February 15, so Americans who're buying now a 9-3X will get to know whether they will actually receive the ordered car next week.

Spyker has some enthusiastic plans for Saab, as the Dutch owner is looking to introduce several new models in the near future, including the new 9-5 that is expected to hit the stores sometimes this year.

According to official information provided Spyker, the new 9-5 will be officially launched this summer, followed by the new 9-4X in early 2011 and the new 9-3 in 2012. Saab's Technical Development Center in Trollhättan will continue to be responsible for new products and will remain the main facility that will design and develop "complete" vehicles.

The Swedish production facility will keep its doors open, with Spyker to attempt to bring production at the same levels as before the crisis. The 9-4X will continue to be built in Mexico.

Pricing for the American 9-3X is likely to be released at the end of this week, but only if the Saab - Spyker deal gets through.
