Ruf Rt 12 R Unleashed

Ruf Rt 12 RRuf Rt 12 R
Chills down our spines - this is what the mentioning of the "Ruf" name brings for us. This is because we are talking about one of the most extreme Porsche tuners, which creates true mechanical monsters. The aftermarket developer has just released a new go-fast creation, in the form of the Rt 12 R.

Once a 911 Turbo, this creation now delivers 740 hp and 940 Nm (693 lb-ft) of torque, allowing the driver to play with virtually all the other cars on the road. The heavily modified 3.8-liter bi-turbo boxer engine is mated to a six speed gearbox, sending the power to the road via the car's four-wheel-drive system.

Here are the full tech details of the vehicle:
  • Coupe form
  • Carbon-Fibre rear spoiler
  • Lightweight front with carbon fibre wings
  • Carbon fibre front luggage cover
  • Optional carbon roof
  • Aluminium doors with lightweight interior fittings
  • Synthetic side and rear windows
  • Carbon bucket seats
  • Rollcage and crossbar integrated into the interior paneling (IRC)
  • Ceramic brakes, disc diameter 380 mm front, 350 mm rear
  • Forged aluminium wheels with central locking nut, 9J x 19 front, 12J x 19 rear
  • Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires, 245/35 ZR 19 front, 325/30 ZR 19 rear
  • 6 cylinder bi-turbo boxer engine
  • Displacement 3.8 l
  • Maximum power 537 kW (730 bhp) at 7,000 rpm
  • Maximum torque 940 Nm at 3,500 rpm
  • 6 speed manual gearbox
  • 4WD standard, rear while drive only available as option
  • Top speed over 370 km/h (130 mph)
If all the above sound appealing, you must know that, in order to become the owner of such a beast, you'll have to be ready to spend EUR279,000/ $390,000 (the price does not include VAT).
