Red Bull to Launch RB7 on February 1st

Red Bull Racing will become the 8th team to showcase and test their 2011-spec challenger at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, starting February 1st. According to a press statement from the team, the launch of the Red Bull RB7 will take place the very morning of the first group test, on the circuit's pit lane.

The 2011 Red Bull Racing car will be unveiled on Tuesday February, 1 at 8.30am at Circuito Ricardo Tormo in Valencia,” said the statement from the Austrian team, noting that both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber will be there to disclose the new challenger to the media.

The only difference (compared to 2010) is this time we’re doing it as defending world champions,” added the statement, while a media advisory sounded like this: “Please note 1 February will be a normal test day.

The team is yet to confirm who will be the first driver to bring the RB7 to the track.

Along with the RB7, there will be seven more 2011-spec cars present on the Ricardo Tormo circuit between February 1-3, belonging to Ferrari, Mercedes, Sauber, Renault, Toro Rosso, Williams and Lotus.

The rest of the teams – with the exception of Hispania Racing F1 Team – will have their new cars ready by the second test of the winter, due to kick off on February 10th, in Jerez. That means that McLaren, Force India, Virgin and HRT will come to Valencia with their 2010-spec cars.
