A lot of riders agree that four wheels move the body, while two wheels move the soul. However, when it comes to scooters, 4 wheels is also moving the mind, if you know what I mean. Quadro’s 4-wheeled scooter showcased past fall at the EICMA was spotted by motociclismo on a highway around the same city of Milan.
Reportedly, the rider scuttled away when he observed that photos of the machine were being taken, leaving the fellows in the car, well, gazing in the sun. It appears like the 4-wheeled scooter was out on a test ride and Quadro’s test pilot had clear orders to avoid exposing the scoot to curious eyes…

According to the same Italian source, the new Quadro seemed exceptionally stable even at high speed. The rider reportedly escaped from the car going well over the 90 km/h (56 mph) speed limit in the area, and its 4 leaning wheels architecture seemed to provide excellent stability through corners.

It goes without saying that 4 wheels are providing double the grip of a traditional scooter, and this can be a huge advantage when riding in the wet. Add in the leaning which counteract the centrifugal forces cars have to deal with and we’ve kind of got quite a stable machine. The Quadro 4-wheeler will be launched at the EICMA 2014, rumor has it.
