A new EV-producing alliance is set to pop up in the car industry after PSA Peugeot Citroen and Bolloré Group have agreed on a partnership to produce an all-electric four-seat cabriolet.
As the electric car scene is getting bigger and bigger each month, any new initiative is welcome, especially from big carmakers like PSA Peugeot Citroen. But they needed some expertise from Bolloré for what looks to be a two-door convertible.

The electric vehicle that will be distributed by PSA Peugeot Citroën is the Bluesummer, a four-seat cabriolet designed by Bolloré, with an urban driving range of 200 kilometres (124 miles).

To accommodate new production needs, PSA's facility in Rennes will add be granted a capacity of extra 15 vehicles per day, for a maximum of 3,500 vehicles per year. But there's more to come from this collabo.

For example, the two companies are exploring the possibility of entering the car-sharing sector. This plan will be executed in steps, first targeting Europe and "later via the creation of a joint venture designed to deploy car sharing solutions worldwide using electric vehicles (passenger cars and commercial vehicles), as well as low-emission internal combustion vehicles".

As we think the name Bolloré doesn't say too much for some of you, here's a little more info on it. The company is already present in the electric mobility market with an array of models: Bluecar, Bluesummer, Bluebus and Bluetram.

Using these models, the brand operates an electric vehicle car sharing network in several cities in France, like Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux.
