We know about Toyota’s efforts for a cleaner environment and research for vehicle technology to limit and even eliminate fossil fuel use. But these efforts would be in vain if not aided by the automaker’s trustful dealerships around the world.
And Prestige Toyota in Ramsey, New Jersey, is one of the best dealerships in the US. Selling thousands of Prius models and using returnable containers for shipping parts and accessories helped the automaker bring the green culture in the area.
“Toyota has been one of the leaders in green vehicles for decades, but they go above and beyond in other areas of their operations,” said Steve Reedy, general sales manager at Prestige Toyota. “They continuously work to find ways to make their production facilities more efficient while lowering emissions, as well as sustainable new ideas like their returnable containers. As the world’s largest automaker, it is very important that trends and new technologies start with them, so others can follow. Just by using the returnable containers, Toyota saved 220 million pounds of wood and 145 million pounds of cardboard, equaling 2.7 billion trees.
