When a carmaker like Porsche claims to have put together a list of the most spectacular driving routes in the world, you might want to check it out. In an effort made under the GTS banner, the Zuffenhausen people have created a community where you can talk about those stretches of asphalt that keep your mind busy during your anniversary dinner.
This is 2014, so instead of sending out some selection of driving roads, Porsche created a community where people can talk about these. Porsche itself kickstarted everything by posting north of 30 routes, which spread across the continents, so there’s something in here for everybody.

We won’t waste time by going into the details, as you can check these out yourselves here. Nonetheless, we did check out a few of the routes we know and we have to say this is a nice project. The whole thing is Google Maps-linked, so the story is a s simple as possible.

Remember, this is a community

Of course, the value of the project lies in the people that will make up the community. Thus, if the initiative catches on, it will be entertaining to see drivers discussing about their time out on the open road.

Sure, the GTS link is an obvious nod to the latest member of the homonymous family, the 911 Carrera GTS, but there’s more to the designation than that. Had this been the GT community, we would’ve expected the most extreme roads in the world. Who knows, perhaps we'll get some special gift to accompany the 911 GT3 RS too once the car is launched.

Nonetheless, since we’re talking GTS matters here, these spectacular roads are the kind that will also help your SO forget about the fact that you were thinking about Porsche on your anniversary night.
