Porsche has really made a name for itself for not only making excellent sports cars (even if they are actually SUVs or large sedans) which not only go very well, but also last as close to forever as the modern auto industry allows.
However, no manufacturer is perfect, so according to the National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA), some 270 Panamera Turbo and Turbo S models, as well as Cayenne Turbos from the 2011 and 2012 model years have a faulty shaft inside the turbo itself, which due to a casting defect could break, then leak oil into and onto the hot exhaust and may burst into flames.

All the affected cars will be recalled to Porsche dealers for a free replacement of the faulty component free of charge, with the actual recall beginning before the end of this month.
