It’s not uncommon for a man to buy himself a Porsche 911 for his 50th birthday. In this middle age crisis respect, we were wondering what the Porsche 911 would do for its 50th anniversary. Porsche is now offering us an answer to this question, with the carmaker offering its employees in Germany a serious Bonus to celebrate the occasion.
Porsche recently announced that over 13,500 employees in Germany will receive a special payment of €8,111 ($10, 480 at the current exchange rates). The chairman of the automotive producer’s General Works Council said that the bonus is a “"turbo-intergalactic special payment."
We have to remind you that the 2012 fiscal year saw Porsche record the greatest success in its history, managing to deliver about 20 percent more cars compared to the previous year.
As for the Porsche 911, this has managed to convince over 820,000 customers since it was first brought to the world back in 1963.
Since the aforementioned executive used the word “Turbo”, we’ll mention that we’re waiting for a moment that will inspire us to have a celebration of our own - the launch of the Turbo model belonging to the new 991 generation.
