Porsche Design Competition Announced

If you believe you have a little bit of talent in designing cars and if Porsche means anything to you, than you might want to take a look at a new design competition announced by the German manufacturer together with Design Boom.

Officially called Radically Porsche, the competition aims to find the people with a decent amount of talent and give them a scholarship for a masters’ degree at the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan.

To be able to earn one though, you will need to meet several criteria on the one hand and be faster than the bullet on the other, as the entries can only be submitted by January 1. Long story short, your goal is to create a version of the Cayman. One which should be original, currently not in production, and more importantly, shock the jury.

“We expect to receive innovative and original pattern designs for the CAYMAN model range that enhance the visual appeal of the sports vehicle. we want to be surprised by your refined 'all-over' designs, repeating or non repeating patterns, whose motifs will translate well into a design covering the entirety of a Porsche Cayman car,” the organizers of the competition say on their website.

And if you think the scholarship is all there is to this competition, you're wrong. Porsche will actually take the top four designs and feature them in real life, on Cayman models.

Additional information about the competition, including the necessary sketches of the Cayman can be found at the following link.
