The German company implemented its know-how, significantly improving German highway construction efficiency, in terms of time, resources and costs. To be more specific, construction time was reduced by almost 50%, while up to 40% of costs were saved. Furthermore, millions of tons of emissions were also saved.
"Environmentally-friendly, stress-free and free-flowing traffic is one of our core goals. The Yellow Angel will provide additional support for the consultants at Porsche Consulting as they try and make the construction industry, public contractors and politicians more aware of intelligent solutions that can significantly reduce construction times on highways," said Michael Macht, Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche AG.
Other award-winning companies present at the event were Fiat and Bosh.
Sister-brand Audi has also received an Yellow Angel award for effectiveness and brand image for the third year in a row. The company’s onboard computer with its integrated efficiency program, installed on the A4 and A5 ranges, has been recognized as one of the most important innovation of the year.
