We are pretty sure this is not what J.R.R Tolkien imagined when creating the Balrogs for his Middle-Earth fantasies, but we are convinced this Cayenne is the perfect embodiment of that name, as it is perhaps among the few tuned Cayennes out there which wears a name to match its looks.
The Cayenne Balrog is the result of French "car stylist" Jeremie Paret, a name which perhaps you are not that familiar with (go to the end of the article for more details on Paret). The design of the Balrog took some eight months to complete, as Paret says and the result is an aggressively modified Cayenne, boasting modifications brought to the body and the engine.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting on the technical specs of the modified Cayenne, as they have not yet been released. Until they become available, we will focus on the new body of the SUV.
The Balrog kit introduces a new front bumper with genuine Cayenne Turbo side lights and fog lights with angel eye, delivering more air to the intercoolers and brakes. Wide fenders allow for the fitting of very large wheels.
At the back, the rear spoiler with diffuser delivers more aerodynamic pressure. The diffusers can be removed in minutes if the need for a tow hook should arise. Between the front and rear end of the car, Paret devised, as was to be expected, new side skirt.
And that's all, for now. Keep an eye out for details regarding engine upgrades and interior, as the latter seems to be Paret's favorite cuisine.
As for Paret, he is a former editor in chief for luxury car tuning magazine "Modify". Last year he set up the International Automotive Business (IAB). The results of his work, together with his colleagues, can be seen here.
