This year’s Gumball 3000 rally has claimed a whole lot of prestigious motors. The first was a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV on the very first day of the event, followed by a nice Ferrari 458 Italia, and now a Porsche.
Not just any cheap-old Porsche, but the 911 Turbo (997) that belonged to team 44. Even though it has all-wheel drive, the Porsche supercar could not handle the wet road conditions it encountered and slipped during the final stages of the Gumball 3000 on route to Monte Carlo.

The damage to the front and side of the car seems serious, and all the airbags have deployed. According to GT Spirit, a participant in the rally wrote on his Twitter account that both the driver and passenger are fine and have not sustained injuries.
