Polaris Ranger EV Gets Flux Power Battery Upgrade Kit

Flux Power Incorporated has announced the introduction of a new lithium battery system for the Polaris Rager EV. The kit now offers up to 10 hours of range on a full charge, while the battery can be used 3,000 times. The Flux Power kit is targeted at customers wanting better performance from their existing Polaris Ranger EV ATVs.

states thee company’s press release.

This revolutionary design fits in the existing space while saving weight, improving performance and safety. The 48V kit comes in 8, 9.6, 16, and 19.2KWh versions.

While retaining compatibility with the standard on-board charger, the battery comes with integrated MS (Battery Management System), Communication Cables, CAN Current Sensor, State of Charge Indicator, and all mechanical hardware for battery hold down. Charging is regulated by an advanced CAN Current Sensor to assure a maintenance-free long service life.

These kits can deliver up to three times the range with far less weight versus the factory system. They also provide enhanced acceleration and top speed," says Flux VP of Sales Ed Munar.

Purchasing the kit can be done via any Flux Power Dealer or at any participating Polaris Electric Vehicle Dealer across the US. The company, which is a subsidiary of HV Power, has been developing innovative high power battery cell management systems that have proven to greatly extend cycle life.
