Pink's Husband, Carey Hart, Wants to Race at Bathurst

Many of you might know Carey Hart as the husband of pop rock star P!nk, others from the freestyle motocross events. Both variants are correct. Only now, Hart has also decided it is time to permanently move behind the wheel, hoping this will happen at Australia’s Bathurst track.

"It's something that I want to do,''
said Hart after he took his V8 Supercar for a spin at the beginning of June, when he was invited by Holden team owner Paul Morris on the Gold Coast for a trial run, The Daily Telegraph reported.

P!nk’s husband already made the first step in the career change, as he is scheduled to race in the Lucas Oil short course championships. Meanwhile, he is still on the Gold Coast completing his Hart and Huntington showcase tour.

"If I'm able to get teamed up - preferably it'd be with Paul because Paul's such a great guy - maybe I could start broadening my driving skills not to just the short course truck stop, but to get on asphalt. I don't want to just be pigeonholed into riding dirtbikes, I think I've got the skills to be able to make a crossover,'
' Hart said.

Hart began competing in motocross races in 1981 at only 6 years old, turned professional in 1993 when he was 18 and also began competing in supercross racing. Hart then entered the freestyle motocross (FMX) competitions in 1996. His wife, also a fan of the action sport, accompanies Hart as often as possible.

"I got her her first dirtbike about four years ago ... and anytime we get a chance, we go do some laps and we also go out on the Harleys,'' he said. “I'm not out there setting the world on fire, trying to chase medals anymore, but I'll always love riding and being on my motorcycle,'' Hart concluded.
