Gilles Vidal is a Peugeot designer who has yet to really make a strong statement. He was responsible for the restyled Citroen Berlingo and the 2010 SR1 concept, a hybrid roadster sportscar.
In 2010, Vidal was appointed as Peugeot Design director, and we believe the new 308 could be his greatest achievement to date.

The car is supposed to be Peugeot's first entry into the premium compact segment and a big part of that is down to the interior.

A gear stick that looks at home in a Mercedes, the dash of an Audi with a bit of French flair and better build quality will definitely get this car noticed.

Unfortunately, there's also a lot of French quirkiness built into the dash as well. For example, the speedometer turns anti-clockwise and the small instrument binnacle is sometimes blocked by the steering wheel, a problem we've seen with the 208 as well.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
