Peugeot 3008 Gets WiFi To Go

The Peugeot 3008 has been gifted with a new optional toy, one that allows users to stay connected while they are on the move. The vehicle has received a WiFi To Go device consisting of a portable Access Point/Router WiFi built by Telsey.

The new system uses an internal modem that allows the sharing of the Internet connection. Peugeot has made an agreement with Fastweb, in order to offer a complete service. This includes a prepaid SIM for data transfer that allows a free transfer of 2 GB per month for a period of three years.

The device has a compact size (it can be compared with a modern mobile phone, if you like) and tips the scales at only 60 grams. Users can connect their laptops, mobile phones, tablets and any other device that offers WiFi connectivity. The connection has a speed of 7,2 Mbps for downloads and 5,72 Mbs for uploads.

The small router comes with an integrated battery that offers an autonomy of four hours of browsing or 20 hours in stand-by mode. However, the device is offered with special accessories that allow it to be recharged via an USB port or from the car’s on-board 12V socket.

The Telsey WebToGo system comes as a standard feature for the Outdoor equipment level. For the other versions of the 3008, customers can purchase it as an optional feature for a price of EUR400. The price includes the aforementioned traffic of 2GB per month for a period of three years.
