New Volkswagen Touareg German Prices Released

German consumers who are planning to buy the new Volkswagen Touareg can already place their orders at dealerships across the country, with prices to start at 50,700 Euros. In fact, prices are dependent on the version you choose, as the initial offer comprises three different configurations, as follows: the 3.6-liter V6 unit with Hybrid powertrain - 73,500 Euros, the 3.0-liter V6 TDI BlueMotion - 50,700 Euros and the 4.2-liter V8 TDI priced at 70,800 Euros.

The Hybrid Touareg has a combined fuel consumption of 8.2 l/100km (28.6 mpg) and releases 193 grams of CO2 every kilometer. It takes the place of the previous V8 petrol engines in Europe and America and comprises a supercharged V6 TSI that develops 333 horsepower and a high-voltage battery. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

As for equipment, the Hybrid features 18-inch alloy wheels and size 255 tires, hybrid logos on the chrome side trim at the front and rear and on the interior trim of the center console, electric 12-way seat adjustment in front, pedal caps in stainless steel look, footwell illumination, multi-function display with large colour display, storage compartments under the front seats, decorative inserts in the fine wood "Walnut Root" and tread plates with stainless steel accents.

Volkswagen will officially showcase the Touareg at the Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for more information on pricing and release dates.
