Porsche has already officially confirmed the hotly anticipated Macan SUV is coming to next month's LA Auto Show. It seem it will be revealed before that time though, as a video teaser has been revealed.
The first minute or so of the video is a boring mix of Porsches from the past in a futile effort to believe the Macan is part of their heritage. The last 20 seconds or so is cool though, never before seen footage of the new SUV drifting on a skid pad and playing in the Dubai sand.
Still camouflaged, the Macan is mostly visible. It's hard to get excited about its looks, since everything is so black, but it's not hard to get excited about the engineering.
The Macan was designed to be cheaper than the Cayenne and is based on Audi's Q5 architecture and engines. It will reportedly be offered with either a 3.0-liter or a 3.6-liter V6, both bi-turbo engines fitted with PDK gearboxes.
