Nearly Undisguised W222 Mercedes S-Class at the 'Ring

We still remember the day we first saw the heavily camouflaged W222 next-gen S-Class prototype for the very first time. It was as black as the night and its burka reft nothing for us to admit, nothing for us to guess at.
Steadily, the camo became lighter until we're left with the micro bikini, covering only the headlights and taillights. While the new uber-Merc is still testing at the Nurburgring, a debut date has already been set for May 15, little more than two weeks from now.

This test vehicle is in the very late development stages. It's the same white car we showed you in our spyshots section a few days ago, and now we get to hear it as well, which is a bit of a treat.

You know what they say. If a car looks good in white, than it looks good in any color!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
