Here's one more Yard Built bike form amazing Danish customizers Wrenchmonkees, a most challenging project aiming to completely transform the nature of a modern bike. The base model was the acclaimed Yamaha XJR130, one of the niftiest classic-look sport-tourers.
And turning the XJR1300 into a cafe-racer-like machine was no easy task, and Wrenchmonkees wanted to take things ever further, with no eye-candy tricks and flashy aftermarket parts. Most of the bike parts are standard, even if they looks like they're not: tank, frame, swingarm, engine and injection, they haven't been modified.

The fork however, comes from an R1, together with the calipers and rotors. Rotor holders are in-house MW items, just like the triple clamps, exhaust, oil cooler, steelbraided hoses, seat cowl and seat itself. Öhlins provided the rear shocks and Magura the brake and clutch master, with Wrenchmonkees atking care of all lighting, rewiring, battery box and hiding the clutter away.

Add in the diamond stitching and the top-drawer lithium battery and Biltwell Kung-Fu grips and there you go, a tidy and truly evil uber-cafe-racer. Monkeefist price on request (email the Monkees).
