One of Autofarm’s recent projects to go under the hammer will also be the car British model Harriadnie Beau drives for a forthcoming reality TV series. The Oxfordshire-based Porsche specialist was asked to provide a suitably exquisite classic so they offered their original Light Yellow Porsche Carrera 911 2.7 RS Touring.
Brit Chickz follows the daily lives of six high-flying British career women so it was only normal the producers would go for a classic sportscar. Currently on sale, Autofarm’s Porsche was initially imported to the UK from Germany in 1985 and has recently been subject to a detail re-commission.
First launched as a 210bhp homologation special, for Porsche to gain entry into production car racing classes, only 1,580 were ever produced. The rare breed combines light weight, nimble handling and great performance which all build up a great car.
“I was thrilled to have the opportunity to include the Carrera in the part of the show dedicated to my working life. The car does not need any introduction to its fans, but its presence in the series highlights my philosophy as a career woman: do not settle for less than the best,” said Beau, who spends a substantial share of her working week as the brand ambassador for luxury brands in the UK as well as abroad.
Only one UK owner
According to a press release, Autofarm is one of UK’s leading independent Porsche specialists, still has a strong demand for this specific model and, as a specialist for over 40 years, enjoys an intricate knowledge of the car and of the provenance of the cars built. The auto shop claims there were only two owners in Germany to 1985 and only one UK owner since.
