Today MINI decided to finally unveil the MINI Vision Concept, a car that most journalists suppose it's going to inspire the Mk3 MINI, the 3rd generation of British exclusivity and ingenuity.
As you can see from the photos, this concept too was touched by the recent focus on sustainability and environment protection. The first thing that strikes you about the new car is that grey outline around the wheel arches and side sills.

That's called 'Organo Metal' and it's an extremely moldable and very strong material, produced by pressing various fibres into a composite. Contrasting with the orange paint job on the car, we have to admit it creates quite a powerful impact at first.

The exterior of the car had to combine traditional MINI features with innovative design. Therefore the hexagonal radiator grille was kept, reminding of the first Mini and is now integrated in both the bumper and auxiliary lights.

Other unmistakable MINI shapes can be spotted in the headlights that keep that rounded aspect, even though they are now fitted with LED devices, whilst the outer ring emits a consistent light as in a DRL motif.

At the back, the MINI Vision design features some bulky, muscular shapes, meant to emphasize the sportive character of the car.

The biggest surprises come from inside the cabin though. Here, everything's been reworked, yet you still know you're inside a MINI. The center console appears to be floating and, alongside the sweeping door panels, creates a sense of interior space for the passengers.

The insides of the doors have fabric straps on them, arranged like the Union Jack flag, adding a bit of British style to the mix. However, they also have a useful side, keeping various objects in check and turning the door compartments into storage.

Another thing you'll probably notice right away is the contrast between the dark blue color of the seats and the Orange of the body work. The blue reminds of a high-quality suit, tailored to your needs, just like the MINI will be.

The whole ambient light can be changed depending on your mood, completely transforming the experience you'll be having inside this car.

As for technical details, judging by how much this Concept resembles the car spied a while back, we think we're looking at the upcoming MINI. Since recent launches showed that BMW is releasing cars that look more and more like their concepts (i.e. i3, 4 Series) the Mk3 model will most likely be a lot like this.
