Having the engine placed at the front meant that some people had difficulty calling the SLS a supercar. But there can be no denying what the Black Series AMG will be, a vicious animal for the track, straining at the leash to kill Ferraris.
We originally thought that the reveal of the Black Series SLS would be delayed by the destroyed prototype which caught fire at the ‘Ring. But Mercedes-AMG has hurried their “Skunk Works” division along, and the sinister SLS will be ready to debut by tomorrow.
The teaser photo shows the car under wraps, but with the telltale Black Series elements clearly outlined. The widened body will have much bigger intakes and other aero bits. Lovely, but crude and angry!
We believe the SLS Black Series will still keep its 6.2-liter AMG V8, though it will be tuned to somewhere just over 600 horsepower.
