Mercedes SLR 999 Red Gold Dream for Sale at $11 Million

Extracting all the kitsch from all the action movies of the past decade, the He-Man cartoons and all the fake electronic devices and pieces of clothing that are counterfeited across the world would not be as strong an essence as this car.
MotorAuthory first caught on to the story of the McLaren SLR 999 Red Gold Dream, owned by some sort of Swiss millionaire who doesn’t mid standing out for all the wrong reasons. The shear oddacity of wanting to sell this Hot Wheels toy in full size for the sum of $11 million makes us stomach turn, but that’s exactly what’s happening.

The red paintjob reportedly has about $300,000 worth of gold dust in it, and the whole thing is supposed to have engulfed about $5.4 million worth in gold, rubies and other expensive or exotic material, all of which make the SLR look like it’s worth $10 in our eyes.
