The Mercedes SL has received a new modification package from the German tuner Prior Design.

The PD-Series SL R230 kit is destined for the pre-facelift version of the R230 SL. The modification package includes a full body kit, complete with facelifted headlights and front fenders, which is inspired by the looks of the exclusive SL65 AMG Black Series supercar, featuring aggressive lines.

The vehicle uses a new front facia, which comes with large air intakes and makes extensive use of mesh grille, as well as Prior Design logo, instead of the traditional Mercedes one.

The SL also comes with muscular extra wide wheel arches and a new set of side skirts that use a bold design. It uses 20 inch three-piece PD1 design rims, which are wrapped in high performance tires. These come in a 265/30 size for the front axle and in a 305/25 size for the rear one. The German aftermarket specialist also offers a new finish for the car’ side air inlets.

The rear of the German roadster has been fitted with a new bumper, which in beautifully integrated in the car’s wide body kit. It houses quadruple exhaust pipes, which have an oval design and an air diffuser that comes with three fins. The diffuser can be painted in the car’s color or can be ordered in a carbon fiber finish.

The tuning package is completed by a lowering module for the SL’s electronic Airmatic suspension module, which brings the car closer to the road.
