Mercedes G55 AMG National Day Parade in Qatar

December 18 is the day Qatar remembers how their national unity was achieved and how they became a unified nation, and they always pull off something big. The establishment of the country came in 1878 under the rule of Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani.
This year, there were fireworks and parades all round, and one of the most interesting is this one, featuring a whole bunch of different colored G55 AMG models, one orange, a couple blue and even a golden one.

The cars leading the parader are proudly waving their national flags through the wide streets of their city, which sprouted out of the desert to become a local hub of wealth where the uber-rich go to spend their millions.

Daimler sources have recently confirmed to us that there will soon be a G65 AMG, powered by the 5.5-liter twin-turbo soon, and we’d love to see a parade of those.... at 100 mph!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
