The Mercedes-Benz E500 and the E63 AMG are two radically different animals, but German tuner Vath wants to show us that the first also has potential, so it has developed a tech modification pack that brings it in line with the later in terms of performance.
Dubbed V50S, the package takes the E500 to 520 hp and 810 Nm (597 lb-ft) of torque, by using a custom air intake, as well as a custom rear silencer and, of course, an ECU remap.
The Vath V50S needs 4.5 seconds to cover the 0 to 62 mph sprint, while its top speed sits at 186 mph (300 km/h). The vehicle comes with matching stopping power, as it uses a beefier braking system, which comes with 390 mm rotors with 6-piston grabber for the front axle.
Mercedes’ Airmatic air suspension was kept, but the car now rides on custom wheels, which come in a size of 20x9 inches up front and 20x10.5 inches at the back, wearing 245/30/20 and 285/25/20 tires, respectively.
Vath also introduced carbon fiber exterior elements, such as the front bumper, front grille, rear diffuser and boot lid spoiler, while gifting the cabin with custom trimming, a sport steering wheel and a new speedometer.
Vath’s V50S package comes with a price of EUR32,250/USD40,412 (this doesn’t include VAT).
