We’re on the last page of the 2011 calendar, and Mazda has achieved an impressive sales result for the year. The Australian market could very well see a change at the top of its sales charts, as the Sydney Morning Herald recently reported on the Mazda3 becoming the nation’s favorite.
For the first time in some fifteen years, the Holden Commodore might not be the best selling model, a title it has held onto ever since 1997. The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries data has shown that so far this year, Mazda has sold 301 more of its 3s than Holden did the Commodore.

However, that’s a small margin to play with, and huge discounts could save the venerable domestic model from humiliation. But another Japanese contender is also close on its heels, the Toyota Corolla, which has been the best seller in four of the past months of 2011.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
