In order to cater to their targeted demographic better, the guys from MINI decided to offer their customers even more optional features in order to allow them to build their dream car.
The Original MINI Accessories program will have fresh and exciting new model-specific products available from the launch, this month. This way the buyers can tune their cars to perfection and make them as special as possible, no two MINIs ending up exactly the same.
Of course, the classics have been preserved and you can still get the same roof graphics, exterior mirror caps and additional headlamps as before but you can now also get a lot of new and innovative add-ons too.
The new stuff is being divided into four so-called MINI Characters: Vivid Green, Speedwell Blue, John Cooper Works Pro and Essential Black. When it comes to the interior design, the same four overall colors are being used, making the combinations stylish.
That means that if you go with either of the four characters you’ll get the same colors on the floor mats, sun protection elements, door sill cover strips, exterior and interior mirror caps, roof and side graphics, side indicator surrounds, key lanyards, protective covers and luggage compartment items. All if you want to, of course.
The Union Jack, Black Jack, Chequered Flag and John Cooper Works carbon finishes we’ve been getting used to will still be available, alongside the new stuff.
For the roof design the choices are more varied than ever, adding up to a total of 9 different styles, from the classic Union Jack, Black Jack, Gold Jack, Chequered Flag Grey and Chequered Flag White to the new Speedwell Blue, Vivid Green, JCW Pro and Chequered Flag Black.
New wheel designs are also available now in either 18- or 17-inch guises with cross spoke design or multi-spoke, all of them available in either Bright Silver metallic or Liquid Black with the caps featuring different colors if desired, from Chilli Red to Bright Yellow.
The customization doesn’t stop here. The new MINI key fob now has Near Field Communication technology infused in it. That means that if your smartphone also supports NFC you can transfer data from the fob to your device in seconds. After the transfer you can use the key fob as your own Bluetooth remote control for functions on your phone. For example, you’ll be able to control the volume or launch apps straight from the fob while your phone is in your pocket or in the special socket installed on the car.
All of these new options can be retrofitted to your car at an authorized MINI dealer but also ordered from the get go. Check out all the new stuff in the gallery below.
