It's always interesting to see the way Harley Sportsters are being modified and change shape, but when it comes to H-Ds becoming scramblers, things are even niftier. And when the customizers are French, we can expect nothing short of spectacular, so here's Lumberjack by Comete Motocycles.
With a radical approach to modding, Comete raised the tank by a hefty 3" (7.6 cm) while the low, leather seat instantly added a dramatic change in overall shape. Now, with the "scrambley" purpose in mind, a seat too low might not be the best approach, but this time it's also style playing a role in this, besides functionality.

So you should not be too surprised seeing an open breather and the low-swung front turn signals. While an open air intake can easily suck in dirt and insects, the rocks and mud will definitely destroy the turn signals in a rather short time, too.

So you'd better think twice before mudding the Lumberjack really hard. At the same time, riding through thin mud with no front fender is the easiest way to get all soaking wet and dripping with mud.

If however, you plan to ride on better, dry roads and do it in style, the Lumberjack is definitely cool. As for the rear tire, you'll most likely only need a couple of minutes to reach unthinkable levels of frustrations on a trail covered in slippery mud...
