Baton Rouge-based rapper Keving Gates has recently released “Wish I Had It” music video, the opener from Gates’ newest mixtape, “By Any Means.” Lil Wayne friend and protege, the 28-year old artist is finally driving the new Mercedes-Benz SL-Class he wished he had it.
Kevin Gilyard, better known by his stage name Kevin Gates, is one of the 2014’s XXL Freshmen Class and a friend of Lil Wayne. He first began making music with fellow Louisiana natives such as Webbie and Lil Boosie. After a short period Gates earned the attention of Lil Wayne and would start being managed by Young Money Entertainment’s management wing.

Even though the rapper has yet reached the famous world, he did manage to sign with Atlantic Records. Gates also featured on Pusha T’s 2013 mixtape Wrath of Caine on the song “Trust You.”

As to the video, it was released under P. Diddy’s Revolt TV and find Gates refuting comparisons made by critics, separating himself from rappers as polar opposite as Flo-Rida and B.o.B, while riding on a train and later sizing himself up in a mirror. As he looks out of the window, he daydreams about the things he wishes he had. After a year, the rapper looks like he made it, driving a new Mercedes.

Anyway, leaving all that fantasy/dream come true rappers stuff, let us see how much of a tale the new Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is. Contrasted with its predecessor, the new generation SL is longer and wider. It also comes with new chassis, bodywork, new engines and new interior. The new ride is 300 lbs (140 kg) lighter, mainly because to its all-aluminum. body shell and magnesium fuel tank cover.

Further expanding the new SL’s performance is the more powerful engine found in the SL 550, which now develops 435 horsepower from its 4.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8 - an increase of 12 percent over the old SL 550. With an impressive 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque, accelerating from 0 to 62 mph (0-100km/h) takes only 4.6 seconds.
